An Oracle for Tuesday

Temple of Black Obsidian, The Dark Healing Chamber
-from The Isis Oracle by Alana Fairchild-

The Temple of Black Obsidian is a ruthlessly honest place of raw love and healing. Deep relief and transformation can occur here... if we are willing to go within. Protective as well as healing, it will prevent harm from external and internal forces. It reveals that which has been lurking within the shadows of ourselves, trying to avoid being brought out into the open for fear of condemnation.

When we, the Initiates, are invited by Isis into the Temple of Black Obsidian, we enter our own shadows. We must confront the parts of our own egos that we have been denying. In doing so, we will gain freedom, come to know ourselves more completely, thereby opening the gateways to those places we have not been able to reach before - breakthroughs, experiences, opportunitties. Isis will assist us if we simply call upon Her.

To safely enter the Dark Chamber and be healed, we must give ourselves unconditional love. We must recognize the judgements we hold against ourselves, not as truths, but as old patterning. Witness the feelings that arise with kindness and acceptance; do not allow them to overwhelm or crush us. Instead, let them come, acknowledge, do not stuff them down, and then release. We have already been through the trauma that caused them and we are still here! With the help of Isis, we witness those feeling with kindness and acceptance. We are then able to release and move forward.

Peace from pain, self-critisism, self-doubt, fear, and self-judgement will be our reward. There is no light without darkness, therefore this is a necessary initiation for healing.

Blessings dark and deep, brilliant and bright!
