Acknowledge & Release Spell

 I found this spell on Facebook, it doesn’t give anything but a chant. I like the chant and thought, yes, this could be very helpful for releasing. So I added a black candle, because a black candle is always a good addition in this type of work. 

I focused on what needed releasing, really thought about it and spent some time with it. Then I lit my candle and chanted this three times.

Setting the scene correctly by understanding what we want and who we can rely on, clears the way ensuring everything we need will come to us effortlessly. When we rely on others, we must understand their needs as well as our own in order to make the relationship work. Being in that relationship can help us achieve and grow in ways we may not be able to on our own. 

This card tells us something is about to spread and grow through the help of others or… we may be instrumental in assisting someone to achieve their dream.

Release the Energies of the Day

 Before sleep I chant this prayer to release and dissipate any energies that I would rather be rid of and bring in a good night’s sleep.

An Evening Prayer to Release the Energies of the Day:

I now release and dissipate any and all 

energies that are not mine to carry,

Including contracts, promises, and connections from all lives past, present, and future, 

from all timelines, in all ways, 

that do not serve my peaceful and fulfilling existence.

I now let go any and all emotions from

myself or others that do not serve my health on all levels 

and that  interfere with my peace and relaxation.

I now allow and receive loving, nourishing, 

restorative, and healing rest, 

surrounded by the protection and blessings 

of my loving ancestors and the Goddesses 

that love and guide me. 

As I have said it, it is so.

Just for today be kind to every living being

I am not perfect by any means, but I strive every day to live the Reiki precepts, especially “Just for today be kind to every living being.” I am struggling a bit with this at the moment, but struggle is the key, I am working on it. There is so much hate out there lately, no compassion for  people who really are innocent, kind, and just trying to live their lives without placing themselves where they shouldn’t be, such as a young woman who went out to jog and enjoy her day, but never made it home. And perhaps too much compassion for people who, honestly, are coming from a place of hate and irresponsibility. Think about what you are doing and the consequences that may follow. Stop being hateful, it isn’t good for you or anyone else. And that is said with compassion, truly.

Just for today, be kind to every living being.

Tasks of the Priestess, Works of the Witch

In the deep of winter I am working at my own healing after realizing that we can never count on anyone but ourselves. It is a hard lesson when you have given a great deal. But… there are other avenues that will open, of that I am assured. With the guidance of my Goddesses, my Ancestresses, and the other spirits that assist me, I do what I have always done. Move right along. And so it is.

Here we are in the new year when people make resolutions, restarts, new beginnings. But are they necessary? What if we just decided to be our true selves? Let our true colors show through? 

This card advises us to know ourselves inside and out, step into our power and be who we really are. Understanding ourselves and knowing we don’t have to pretend is so freeing. We can be at ease, releasing the stress of trying to live up to what we think others want us to be. We are perfect as we are, who we are. Love ourselves, be who we really are, our true colors are beautiful.
