Weekend Oracle
Mountain Lights: Light Beings, portals, subtle energies
I always see Friday as the portal to the weekend, so appropriate.
We are chosen to to do the work of assisting in healing our beautiful Earth, and sending energies to heal all. What a beautiful mission!
Hold loving light energy within the heart and radiate it out… to Mama Earth, to the mountains and valleys, lakes and oceans, forests and gardens, roads and streets, and to all people, all beings. Let us be part of the collective to heal any hate, to bring love into all things and everywhere.
As I light my Shabbat candles tonight and every Friday, that is my focus, shining light into all. Light candles tonight, no matter our paths, and shine that light of healing and love into the world.
May it be so!

Monday Moonday Oracle
9. Freya, Sensuality
Freya is the Norse goddess of love, fertility, and magick. A kind goddess who reflects the full cycle of life and death. In my experience She is also a take no crap goddess who unapologetically does what needs to be done.
I feel this oracle is very timely. There is so much body shaming that has made a real comeback on line. There are many women promoting starvation diets, celebrities who are clearly severely underweight are being hailed as perfect and healthy, and what we should aspire to. Yesterday, someone I know posted a horribly nasty meme about an obese woman with many degrading comments and laughing emojis. I was very surprised that she did this, but saw someone repeatedly calling her out. So…
We are guided to get in touch with our bodies, know its needs, its limits, appreciate its beauty and uniqueness, care for it. Our bodies are our personal temples, be they large or small, smooth or wrinkly, they are perfect in their imperfectness, and deserving of love.
Our feminine sensuality is a divine gift and sacred right. We deserve nurturing and care. And we need to be strong when anyone decides they want to shame us for that sensuality, for our appearance, for our boundaries. We are sovereign.
Freya reminds us we have the strength to accomplish, achieve, and persevere in any situation. We must know this in our innermost being. We embrace our magickal abilities to bring our needs and desires into reality; we acknowledge what brings us satisfaction and follow our heart’s desires. We live every moment to the fullest, in our own power, and let no one take that power from us. We stand strong, beautiful, resilient. It is time to remember that our bodies, however they are, are the sacred vessels of our essence, perfect as they are. Our bodies, love them, care for them to the best of our abilities, rejoice in them. We make it so!
Blessings dark and light.

Weekend Oracle
31: Tlazolteoll, Restoration and Transformation
Tlazolteoll is an Aztec Moon Goddess, a pardoner of sins, Eater of Filth. She is the one to whom one’s worst deeds were confessed to. Sacrifices were made to Her to receive the purifying and regenerative energies of earth. A midwife, who through decomposition of that which no longer serves us, brings life. She proves that what overwhelms and destroys can also heal. A goddess of spinners and weavers, Tlazolteoll connects us to the cycle of creation and the ever changing powers of the Earth. She eats the errors of Her children and restores them to who they really are.
It is time, let us transform and restore whatever it is in our lives right now that needs change and healing. No matter what it is, this toxic energy holds us in fear, shame, and insecurity.
Tlazolteoll’s message is to come to Her and allow Her to assist in releasing whatever it is. We all make mistakes, we all have experiences that hurt and harmed, we have been harmed by others, we have harmed ourselves. But She tells us we are truly perfect in our essence. We are strong enough to resolve and heal these issues, to move through and past them. We do not need to stay in that energy which keeps us from experiencing joy, peace, and the wonder of life.
In Her name, make offerings: donate clothing or food to shelters or food banks, clear away things you no longer need, tidy your garden or some place in nature that needs some restoration; cleanse yourself and your space. Then, be more mindful of how you conduct yourself, how you care for yourself, how you treat others, the Earth.
Tlazolteoll reminds us that there is no sin, only errors in life’s journey. Be brave, the pain of transformation is temporary.
Blessings dark and light !

What We Share, Learn, and Live With
My life has drastically changed from last year and I am struggling to accept and carry on. People I thought would always be part of my life are no longer with me by, I assume, their choice. I even live in a different place. It takes some adjusting to work through what I feel, it is so much change. I didn’t expect it and so never prepared for it. But that’s life, isn’t it? Live and learn is a cliche for a good reason.
Within I have always known who and what I am, imperfect, stubborn, yet loving with much to give. And so I went about doing what good I could and messing up, as one does, in most cases, repairing where I could… like we all do. And I learned my lessons well which has caused sadness, but not really any surprise.
My Goddesses and Ancestors stand by me, teach, heal, and scold. I am finding new ways to carry on, new magicks, new interests and insights. It seems those guardians who have always been with me are standing closer, propping me up, pushing me forward. I am a bit wiser and will conduct myself accordingly, with more discernment. I don’t need to be anyone’s teacher or guide any longer.
Instead, I will conduct myself accordingly, my devotional work with be done with more vigor than ever, my Reiki practice will continue with a still open heart, and I will appreciate what I have had and have, continuing to experience the mysteries and magick that my life holds.
And so it is. Blessings dark and light!

Moonday Moonday Mushroom Oracle
Monday Moonday Mushroom Oracle: 30 Parrot Waxcap, Isolation.
Isolation can be a good thing, assisting us in clearing our minds, being able to hear our own thoughts… without outside distractions. Finding peace is easier when we are on our own, and it brings the greatest rewards.
But on another level, feeling isolated can leave us in a place of emptiness, loneliness, being abandoned. We have to face the fact that others have just up and disappeared, and there is nothing we can do about this.
So we ask ourselves what do we need, what can we do for ourselves to bring happiness back into our lives? What is it that sustains us and that we can provide ourselves with? This may feel sad, but it is an opportunity to heal ourselves, bringing out our inner strength, showing us that, in ourselves, we are just fine.
Sometimes this may seem hard, but ultimately knowing independence is what we need and have carries us on.
Blessings dark and light.

Acknowledge & Release Spell
I found this spell on Facebook, it doesn’t give anything but a chant. I like the chant and thought, yes, this could be very helpful for releasing. So I added a black candle, because a black candle is always a good addition in this type of work.

Winter Magick Day 9
A Winter Meditation
During these days before the solstice, in the deepening dark, allow yourself to be seduced by that luscious darkness. Sometimes there is fear of the darkness, I know this well myself. But try to consider it not as a place to fear, but as a safe place, warm and soothing, nourishing and restorative. Allow yourself to see it as a place of hibernation, where you move away from any coldness and harshness, the overstimulation and busyness of the physical world, a healing place where you can indulge yourself in periods of creativity, healing, and rest.
Find a cozy place, sit or lie down. Wrap yourself in a soft blanket, a cup of tea or cocoa at your side, perhaps some very soft, relaxing music or silence, as you like. Lean back and read along, traveling with me.
Let your body relax, sink in to your cozy place, and take some deep breaths. Close your eyes. Breathe deeply but easily into your belly. At your own pace, gently, gently, and relax.
Visualize yourself at the entrance to a cave. The air is warm and comfortable, the scent of the earth rich and soothing. You walk forward with the knowledge that you are perfectly safe at all times on this journey.
As you walk forward, you feel yourself descending down an incline. There is soil and stone all around and roots hang from above. There are small lantern’s hanging here and there gently lighting your way. You are completely relaxed in this place, any worries are released, there is only contentment here.
You gaze around and notice lovely stones of different colors embedded in the soil of the walls. And you keep walking, down, down, deeper into Mama Earth, feeling more and more at peace as you go.
And now you notice the ground has become more even and you see ahead of you a door in the earth. It opens in welcome and there is light and warmth. An old woman stands there wordlessly inviting you to enter. There beyond the door is a room, the walls lined in richly colored fabrics of all kinds. A hearth of rough stone is opposite the door, a fire brightly burning. Soft, pillowy chairs are arranged near the hearth, and the woman waves a hand towards the seats. So… you sit gazing around at the wonderful colored fabrics on the walls, their embroidery of leaves and flowers, animals and insects, mushrooms and birds so pretty and alive. The colors are stunning, almost hypnotic, and you feel an incredible soothing sensation wash over you. This room embraces you a gentle energy.
“Be comfortable here and rest yourself,” says the old woman. Her voice is soft. “This time of year is such a rush, take a break with me here. Chat with me or just enjoy the crackle of my fire. All is well here, all is well for you.” She serves a warm beverage, just what you like. You wonder how could she know. Her eyes are bright, you feel such reassurance in her presence, as if you have always known her.
There is no need to know who this woman is, you just intuitively know that she is someone you can be at ease with, who offers a peaceful respite from your world. Relax in her presence, rest and allow her healing to flow over you. The lovely walls, the beautiful embroideries, the warm and inviting energy, all soothe your entire being. Let yourself drift.
After a while of rest you may have a question, a need for clarification of something in your life. This old one will have a bit of advice to share so listen carefully, open your heart. Is she speaking to you?
When you are ready, say thank you and farewell. Walk through the Old One’s door. Move easily up the incline, perhaps a stone will offer itself to you as you walk. Breathe in the rich scent of roots and stone and earth. Breathe in deeply of Mama Earth’s energy.
As you move up returning to your own place, the gentle peace of the Old One’s room remains, as does the knowledge that you can return anytime you like or need to. She is always there, at all times, offering rest, healing, and peace.
Return now to your own place, restored.
Blessings dark and deep!

Settling Into Winter
We will be celebrating the Winter Solstice in a few days, also known as Midwinter. For me, it always feels as if this is just the beginning of winter. Yes, the solstice is the longest night and the days begins to increase in length, but long nights are still with us and Mama Earth is still holding all in rest.
Many people I speak to wish the days were longer, and seasonal depression is a real issue for many. I use to suffer from it myself. Now however, I relish this time of year, I settle into this time, especially once the holidays are over. Winter comes to me as a time of rest, restoration, and renewal.
I read the term “wintering” a few days ago and thought, ah yes, that is the perfect term for me when I think of how to describe what I feel. I have begun my wintering!
This is my hibernation time. A time of allowing seeds of thoughts, feelings, healing to come into being. Those seeds incubate and deepen so they can be developed or discarded. My personal spiritual practices deepen and I allow myself to journey and meditate, and connect with the goddesses and spirits as much as I need to.
Creative work, journaling, cogitating, and oracle work, these are what I do more freely and with greater appreciation for the processes. I just let myself restore and renew. By doing this, settling into and appreciating my wintering, I find great peace. Perhaps part of it is aging and understanding. I don’t know. I also realize this isn’t so for everyone, but for me I have found it to be so healing.
I wish you a wintering of healing and peace.
Blessings dark and deep!

Stones for Winter
Magical Stones For Winter
We've turned back the clocks and Hallows Eve has passed, now we welcome the holidays and the winter of the year. Winter is a time of introspection, journeying within and remembering. While all the preparations for the holidays begin, take time for yourself, not only to rest and restore on a physical level, but especially on a spiritual and emotional level. The energies of this season, Winter, help us journey down deep into ourselves to remember and find answers.
When journeying, I like to either hold stones in my hands or enclose myself in a stone grid. Pocket or palm sized stones work very well for this. Stones can be held in the hands while sitting in a comfortable, cozy chair or lying down in soothing surroundings. Placing stones in a circle, at four points (head, feet, right hand and left) or even in a triangular pattern (head, side of left foot and side of right foot) around you, works very well for making an energetic boundary that focuses energies, intention and also protects. There are many ways to surround yourself with stones, use your imagination.
Here is a bit of information about three of my favorite stones that I like to use for this work.
The first is quartz crystal, either points or smooth polished pocket stones. The points are great for directing energy, but the polished stones, especially when used in a circle or four points grid, make a gently swirling, encompassing energy vortex. Crystal quartz is an energy amplifier and willingly will assist us. It is also a stone of memory, helping us to "remember" on a spiritual level. In meditation it can enhance one's journeying experience by bringing back to us details and information long forgotten from other lives, dreams and spiritual encounters. One can also gaze into the crystal for divination.
Citrine can assist in opening the third eye and clearing heavy, burdensome energies, making it a perfect helper stone for journeying work. It works to open the way to clearly seeing and accepting information in a positive light, as a mother energy gently guiding. The beautiful citrine is also a stone of manifestation, helping us bring thoughts and desires to fruition. It surrounds one with a golden, healing, positive energy.
Selenite is another stone helper that assists in opening the third eye. It also opens the crown and soul chakras as well making it a good companion for journey and meditative work. Selenite is a perfect ally for reinforcing energy grids, so it is an amazing stone to be surrounded by. It can assist in clearing the blockages that keep us from "remembering" and moving forward with the information received from spiritual realms. It enhances our inner vision allowing us access to past lives and assisting during divination. I keep pieces of selenite with each of my divination tools. Placing two selenite points at one's front door re-enforces protective energies in the home.
These are just three of the many stones that can assist us, on all levels and in many ways. Each stone has a spirit within, just as we do, as plants, animals, all beings. They are waiting for you to make contact and connection.
Blessings dark and deep!

A Simple Yule Ritual
This Yule Ritual is simple, Goddess-centered/Dianic, and can be adjusted for solitary or group gatherings. The original version is by Geraldine Andrew, who included it in a Dianic Wheel of the Year series.
The ritual space should be decorated for the season, as you like. Place four white candles at the quarters and another white candle on the altar. Other candles may be placed on the altar, your preferred colors to represent any goddesses you choose to honor.
Purify and bless the space, altar, and each other, then cast your circle and call the quarters in your preferred manner. Call the Goddesses while holding hands and chanting this three times, then lighting the Goddess candles:
