A Spell To Release the Past

 

Take a black chime candle, anoint with lavender oil, carve the words “the past that hurts me” while focusing on an issue that is causing you pain. Light the black candle, still focusing on that issue. Chant this nine times, visualizing the issue as wisps of smoke or fog drifting away from you.  Allow the candle to burn out. Toss the remnants of any left over wax in the trash and KNOW the issue is released.

Dressing a Candle

Some tips for dressing your candles: 

- easy with oil, you don’t need a lot. If you overdo it, you’ll have a candle that goes up like a torch. I tell you this from experience, lol!

- same with the herbs - easy does it or you are going to have a torch and it could be a problem.

- maintain focus on what you’re doing, intention adds to the success of you candle spell. It’s all about what you put it in. 

- use different colors of wax to kick up the energy. Red adds energy and it is always a good choice.

A Candle Spell

I found this chant on Pinterest and thought it would go well with a Crystal Journey Positive Energy candle and a protection candle burning at the same time. A very good combination.

A Charm For Prosperity 

Needed:

A green candle

Olive oil you have blessed

A pinch each of basil, dill

Incense for cleansing

Matches or lighter

With the incense, cleanse your working area and candle. Hold the candle and charge for purpose - drawing prosperity. Anoint the candle with some olive oil. 

Lay the herbs in front of you and awaken them. Roll the candle in the herbs then place in a candle holder.

Take some deep breaths and focus your mind on prosperity flowing to you continuously. Light the flame and chant the following three times:

With this bright light

My flame takes flight

Drawing to me

Unending prosperity!

Let the candle burn until finished.

Winter Magick Day 24

 Bayberry Candle Spell

This is a spell I have been casting for many years, sometimes on the Winter Solstice, sometimes Christmas Eve, sometimes New Year’s Eve. I have done it for one night, three nights, and even nine nights. 

Here’s what you need:
Bayberry votive or other type candle and candle holder,
Coin, 3 Bay leaves, other prosperity herbs or blend (optional)

Cleanse candle holder, place a few drops of water in it. Now take a coin, place  in the candle holder. If using another type of candle, place the coun beneath the holder. Place the candle within. Put the candle in a place you can safely burn it. Prosperity herbs can sprinkled around the outside of the holder in a circle. 
Take a Sharpie pen, silver is especially good, but any color is fine; write those things you wish to manifest, use both sides of the leaves: good health, prosperity , happiness, whatever you wish. Place around the outside of your candle holder.
When ready, chant the following 3 times:

Upon this beautiful winter’s night,
I burn this candle, strong & bright.
Bayberry, bayberry, bless my light!
Winter magick now takes flight!
Bay leaves, bay leaves, empower my charm.
Away with anything that would bring me harm.
To me and mine these good blessings flow,
As comes the light, it is so!

A Spell For Peace & Happiness

A little magick for your home is a good practice. While browsing through my Book of Soells, I found this. All the items needed are common kitchen herbs and spices. The others items needed are easily found and you may very well have them in your home.

I have cast this spell many times over the years and suggested its use by others with much success. Everyone can use a little extra peace and happiness in the home, don’t you think?

A Spell For Peace And Happiness In The Home

Perform this spell after the first crescent of the new moon appears. Energetically cleanse your home in whatever manner you usually do.

You will need;

an orange or Happy Home* candle

lavender buds, rose petals, wood betony, Rosemary, cumin seeds and cinnamon. 

three drops each of bergamot, clove and vanilla oils (a teaspoon of pure vanilla extract may be used instead of vanilla oil) plus a touch extra for candle anointing. 

Matches or lighter

A pink, lavender colored, or white pouch

Candle holder

A bit of glitter if you have some

Some rose quartz piece to surround your candle and pouch.

Mix herbs and oils together well and enchant in the usual manner. Place the mixture into a  small pouch. Keep this with the candle as it burns. You will then place it in a closet, cupboard, or somewhere around the home, hidden from view.

If you are using a plain orange candle, anoint with a touch of each oil, and sprinkle with a tiny pinch of glitter, enchanting for purpose If using the Happy Home candle, you may anoint with a bit of oil and add some glitter, then awaken and ask for the candle’s assistance for your purpose.

Place the candle in its hold, pouch nearby, and surround with pieces of rose quartz.

Burn the candle for three hours each evening until it is completely consumed. Chant this charm three times after lighting:

Peace and happiness fill our place,                                All is well in our family’s space!

Any candle remnants may be added to you pouch.

Hallows Everyday 1

Well kick up your heels, October has arrived and the countdown to Hallows/Samhain begins in ernest. This year Hallows Everyday will be a hodgepodge of divination, spells, lore, recipes, poetry, devotional practices, and vintage images. I hope you enjoy it.

To begin, choose a candle of good size, better a pillar, and of a color related to the season. Cleanse in your usual manner, then dedicate for Hallows by saying this or anything else you choose:

This candle I dedicate to the Hallows Season.

Let its magick and light burn with purpose and reason.

To the Goddesses, Spirits, and Ancestors near me,

Let this candle light the way so I may see You clearly.

Brightness in darkness at this time is the way.

I make it so, and so I do say!

Each day of this month, light your candles for a bit, then either perform a devotional practice or divination while it burns.  Extinguish by snuffing or pinching out.

Hallows Everyday - 20

Samhain Invocation

Forests misty, dark and deep

the door between the worlds release

loved ones, family, favored pets

to join me in this evenings fest.

The birth of new, the death of old

I will this cycle to unfold.

Each leaf that drifts upon the ground

will bury all that is unsound

and in its place will rise anew

the gift of love the whole year through.

With the harvest gold and autumn sun

I reap the best that I have done.

And as the days grow shorter still

with long nights and winters chill

I'll work to build a better place

for every soul and human race.

Wild autumns wind, and crone's dark voice

speak to me of wisdoms choice

let me hear your words of fate

so I know which path to take!

whisper words of love and care

let me know that you are there.

Devotional activity: Light an orange and black tea light or votive candle tonight - or any color you feel is appropriate - and give thanks for what you have achieved, let those things that were not completed go, like the leaves in the wind. Focus only on the positive, and be grateful for that. Recite the above invocation, feel connection with your Ancestors who have gone before, let them know they are not forgotten. Know that the new endeavors ahead, whatever they may be, will bring wisdom, inspiration, and achievement of what is for your highest good. Make it so!
